Rempah Udang

Posting another Nyonya dessert… spiced glutinous rice rolls wrapped with banana leaf or some call it a spicy prawn dumpling nyonya kueh for a Straits-born Chinese Wedding Specialty.
Hi there
It sure looks yummy to me – I could almost taste it. Have not eaten Rempah Udang for the past 30 years since I migrated to Australia. It used to be my favourite when I was young – will try to look for it the next time I am in Singapore.
I don’t know if Brisbane sells any sweet pea flowers but may sell them in some Asian stores. The ones I get are from a very good friend (who is also a Nyonya) who lives in Brisbane, grows them and dries them for me.
I recently got some imported from Penang though. So now I am all stocked up
